Norwex Microfiber Care Instructions
So you’ve just bought these amazing Norwex Microfiber cloths and you cannot wait to get started using them! But, you don’t quite remember how to care for them, that’s ok! My guess is that party you went to was off the hook fun and it has slipped your mind! When you follow these Norwex microfiber care instructions you will have the best possible results and you will get the maximum life out of your investment.
Simple Rules
There are 3 basic rules to follow that will help you love your Norwex. Not following these basic rules may have you less than thrilled over time.
- When it is time to launder toss them in the washer with a non-linty load and dry in the dryer. Microfiber and lint are like star-crossed lovers, Bonnie & Clyde if you will. They love to be together but are very bad together. It is no fun to pick lint off a cloth while watching This Is Us. (If you haven’t watched this show yet you simply must!)
- No fabric softener, dryer sheets, or bleach. This one is super important! Softeners and dryer sheets first and foremost contain chemicals that stay in your clothing, they are designed not to rinse out. Then your body is absorbing these chemicals all day long. In my opinion you should not be using fabric softener or dryer sheets period, but when it comes to your microfiber, softeners and sheets leave a film and can clog your microfiber reducing its ability to clean your surfaces. Not following this rule is a biggie – you will quickly be disappointed in the performance of your microfiber if you use fabric softeners or dryer sheets.
- For best results in between laundering you can spot clean with Norwex Dish Soap. When it is time to launder you will have best results using the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent. Referred to by many as UPP it is formulated for HE and regular washing machines. It is very efficient and is the best choice for your Norwex Microfiber Care.
Deep Clean
Occasionally, your microfiber may need a deep clean (also referred to as a deep soak) – bring a soup pot of water to a boil, remove from heat and dissolve about a TBSP of UPP. Add your cloth and let it soak. I like to stir them now and then and let them sit until I can comfortably handle the cloths. Rinse under hot water rubbing the cloth on itself. Launder as usual. The deep soak is recommended by Norwex no more than 3-4 times per year.
