You’ve Scheduled a Norwex Party: Now What?

Chances are you recently attended a Norwex Party and was blown away, you were impressed with the products, the party was fun, educational, and you know your friends will love it, too! Who doesn’t want windows like that?!?! This article will help you have a great party with tons of fun, the perfect number of guests, no stress, and amazing host rewards for you to Norwex your own home.

As the host of a Norwex Party your consultant is your party partner. The host has a job to do and the consultant has a job to do as well. Your consultant will be coaching you on what you should be doing, make sure you are asking her questions when you have them! They should be fully vested in your party! When both the host and the consultant does their jobs, a great party is bound to happen!

So, What are the Host’s Jobs?

The hosts job is to invite her friends and family to her party. To be excited when she invites, think about it; do you want to go to something if the host isn’t even excited? To gather orders from people who can’t make it and to send out reminders the day before. When it comes to cleaning the house, please, this is the best kind of home party – the consultant will clean FOR YOU! Don’t go overboard, vacuum, do the dishes, relax. When it comes to snacks my best advice is to pick one or two items and that is it. Trust me, I do a lot of parties and there is always way too much food leftover. Keep it simple! What are the Consultant’s Jobs?

I’m going to speak for myself here – I will:

• keep in contact with you ahead of your party.
• help you along the way and I am happy to!
• create an image for you to easily invite your text/fb message contacts.
• mail invitations on your behalf if you get me a guest list.
• create a Facebook event for you if you wish.
• provide you a hostess package with catalogs, order forms, and all the instructions you need to have a great party.
• entertain your friends, I’m pretty funny! I think so anyway 😉
• educate and teach your friends how to properly use and care for their Norwex.
• teach them how to create a safe haven in their home free from harsh, toxic chemicals.
• efficiently and accurately close your party and communicate with you about your host rewards.
• provide all of your guests with my contact information.
• follow up with them to ensure they love their Norwex.
• treat you like a Queen for the evening!

OK, I Know What My Jobs are; How Do I Do It?

The first thing you need to do is to develop your guest list. There isn’t a night that works for everyone on your list so you need to over invite, typically about 1/4 of those invited can attend. I recommend setting a goal of 30-40 invitations. No, that isn’t a lot – watch. Let’s use the FRANKI acronym. Grab a pen and paper, get ready to jot down names. Don’t worry about contact info, just names. Don’t exclude the guys, men love Norwex too!. Put 2 minutes on your timer for each category and begin – F is Friends; these are your close inner circle friends, R is Relatives; your family, spouses family, A is Acquaintances; your co-workers, people from church, gym, soccer moms,  book club, etc.. N is Neighbors both past and present, and I is your internet contacts. The key here is to invite from all areas of your life, you’ll have a diverse party where people get to meet new friends and you’ll have great attendance. Once the 12 minutes is up I’m willing to bet you have easily 50 names.

Once you have your guest list you need to start personally contacting them to invite. Let me tell you my Norwex invitation experience; I got a postcard in the mail and it said in big bold letters “Love to Clean” and that’s as far as I got. Threw that baby in the garbage can without even looking at the other side. I don’t love to clean so I never bothered looking any further, figured it was junk mail. My BFF called me the night before her party and said “you’re coming right?” It was that PERSONAL CONTACT that put me in her living room for that party. The postcard had nothing to do with it. Your friends want to hear from you, they’ll be delighted you called/texted and will be far more likely to attend.

In the meantime, talk about Norwex. Tell them what you love! Bring an EnviroCloth and Window Cloth to work and show people what it can do! It’s pretty amazing! Just think, you’ll be the first to tell them all about it! If they can’t make it to your party, see if they’d like to order and/or host their own party.

The day before the party I want you to relax. Do not go crazy with food and cleaning. For real, vacuum and do the dishes, that’s all that is necessary. Pick one or two snacks, don’t go overboard. What is important is to remind your guests about your party. People get busy and tend to forget. Trust me, they’ll thank you for the reminder once they see what Norwex can do for them.

The day of the party I’ll arrive about 20 minutes before the party starts. This evening should be fun for you and for your guests; relax, socialize, and let me wow them all with the wonders of Norwex.
